Welcome to the Mongolia Australian Scholarships Program (MASP)

pict1The Mongolia Australian Scholarships Program is an Australian Government Initiative managed through AusAID in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Mongolia

MASP is designed to improve the human resource needs of selected Mongolian Government Agencies, develop economic sectors of priority to Mongolia and enhance the opportunities for knowledge sharing and Institutional linkages between Australia and Mongolia.

pict3 The Australian Development Scholarships program is part of the Australia Awards initiative administered on behalf of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) by the Mongolia Australian Scholarships Program (MASP) office. The Australia Awards aim to provide educational, research and professional development opportunities to support growth in the region and to develop enduring links between Australia and our neighbours.

In 2012, Australian Development Awards consisting of 38 Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) and supplementary Leadership awards are available to Mongolians for post-graduate studies in Australia starting in 2014 under the Australia Awards scheme. On-line applications for the 2012 Round open on 1 February 2012 and close on 30 April 2012.

About MASP Services

  • The MASP office provides assistance to the Government of Mongolia Ministries and Agencies.
  • Provides advice and information to individuals and Ministry staff regarding scholarship opportunities and eligibility requirements.
  • Assists successful applicants to undertake English Language courses and apply to
    Australian Universities for enrolment.
  • Assists successful applicants with visa and mobilisation arrangements.
  • Assists returned scholars in their workplaces.
  • Facilitate the returned scholars to become members of the Alumni organisation.
  • Monitors the results and impact of the program in coordination with the Cabinet Secretariat.
