Welcome to the online application system for the Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) and the supplementary Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) for the 2012 round under the Australian Development Awards program.
For information relating to the types of scholarships available click here. This information should be read carefully prior to applying to determine which is most suitable to you.
How to Apply
- The same Scholarship Application Form is used for both ADS and ALA.
- Applications for ADS and ALA open on 1 February 2012 and close on 30 April 2012.
- For applicants choosing to be considered for a supplementary Leadership Award you must check the application box in 15.5 of the online application form and complete the supplementary questions accessed by clicking on the link below. Your answers to these questions need to be supplied in English to the online application. Two (2) hard copies of your answers to the Leadership questions are required to be delivered to the MASP office.
- All applications MUST BE ONLINE.
- In addition to online applications the following must also be submitted:
Category 1 applicants must deliver four (4) hard copies of your application in Mongolian language to your Employer/Ministry Working Group Head.
Category 2 applicants must deliver four (4) hard copies of your application in Mongolian language to the MASP office.
Applicants applying for a supplementary ALA must complete the Leadership Award questions. These should be completed in English and Mongolian and submitted online, two hard copies must be submitted to the MASP office.
- It is important that before you complete the application form you read carefully the information relating to Category 1 and Category 2 Development Awards on this website. You should also ensure you have read and understood the Scholarship Handbook.
- It is important you also refer to the eligibility criteria for all applicants (including information on English Language Training)
- Please read the Instructions on the Scholarship Application Form carefully before completing the application.
- Please note that you must submit a number of Supporting Documents with your application. These are listed in the Scholarship Handbook and additional supporting
documents for the 2012 round outlined below:
a. a correctly certified copy of original formal degree graduation certificate (i.e. testamur) and, if not in English, a certified translation copy.
b. a correctly certified copy of original formal academic transcript/s and, if not in English, a certified translation copy of the transcript/s.
c. a correctly certified copy of a citizenship document (e.g. passport or national identity card).
d. a correctly certified copy of original birth certificate and, if not in English, a certified translation copy of formal degree.
e. a curriculum vitae (CV) briefly detailing work history and responsibilities (and research experience, if relevant to the application).
f. referee reports: at least one academic referee report and at least one other referee report (e.g. a work supervisor). Masters by Research applicants should provide two academic referee reports. A template for the preferred format of a referee report is available at Appendix B.
g. English language test (IELTS OR TOEFL) results certificate valid until 1 January of the year in which the studies will commence. (For example, as results are normally valid for two years, the test date will need to have been since 1 January 2011 for an application to commence studies in 2013.)
