ALUMNI IN MONGOLIA

The Mongolia Australia Society, more commonly known as the Mozzies, is the key organisation for Australia Awards Scholars to join and participate in when they return from studying in Australia. The Mozzies is a very active association and holds numerous events throughout the year and provides great support and advice to Mongolians who are contemplating study in Australia either under the Australian Awards program or self-funded.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Mongolia Australia Society – Mozzies Association, NGO was founded on March 3, 1998. Board and association members are actively participating in activities of the Association and they are working on initiatives to expand activities of the Association further.

The current President of Mozzies Association is N. Enkhbold, Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Mongolia. Board members have obtained Master’s and PhD degrees’ from Australian Universities and are civil servants working at the top-ranking positions in Government organizations of Mongolia as consultants and specialists working in international projects and the private sector.

MISSON OF MOZZIES ASSOCIATION

The mission of our Association is to develop cooperation between 2 countries and support and assist in promoting friendly relations between citizens of two countries especially to extend cooperation in culture and arts, sports, tourism, education sector and other sectors and support and expand business communication.

PURPOSE

In order to implement and achieve specified mission statement, the following activities are implementing in organized way using members’ skills and interests

Activities:

  • Exchange mutually beneficial information, conduct activities
  • Promote investment cultural relationships from Australia to Mongolia to public, assist and initiate expansion of relationship and will initiate and implement projects in these regards.
  • The Association is been funded by member's fee, donations, participation in events and other sources.
