SELECTED AGENCIES

If your Agency is eligible to participate in the Australian Development Scholarship Category 1 you have access to 20 scholarships at Masters level for development of organisational capacity.

The scholarships will be awarded on the capacity building needs identified in ministry Human Resource Development (HRD) Plan. The HRD Plan details the ministries and agencies capacity development needs.

The MASP office will assist targeted Ministry’s with the development of their HRD plans. The Ministry’s plan must conform to the overall need of the government as defined by the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia. The Ministry’s HRD plan must link to the overall development needs of the government as stated in the development strategy. The plan will also enable the targeting of the fields of study of each ministry by MASP.

To take advantage of the ADS scholarship program to fulfil the Ministry’s HRD plan, suitable candidates will need to be selected by the agency.

Suitable candidates from the ministry will need to be selected on the basis of the:

  • Proposed action plan supporting the nominating Ministry’s training needs and commitments in implementing the Ministry’s HRD plan.
  • Ranking of the relevance to the Ministry of the proposed field of study and action plan.
  • Relevance of employee’s current position/responsibilities to the proposed field of study/action plan.
  • Academic achievements and assessment of candidate’s potential to succeed in Australian higher education courses.
  • IT literacy skills in word processing and use of the Internet (Based on self evaluation in the EOI.

Candidates will each need to develop a draft action plan (the final action plan is developed through the scholarship process which commences at the EOI stage). The draft action plan is developed during the English language training (ELT) program and is further developed when the candidate submits the application for ADS.

The final action plan provides the study objectives of the individual in accordance with the expectations and needs of the employer and will be used as a monitoring tool by the MASP post award.

 

Category 1

Category 1: Annually selected targeted public sector institutions in which the ministries determine the fields of study based on their Human Resource Plans of governance reform and with the ministries involved in the selection of applicants.
