ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST

All candidates undertaking the Pre-Departure Training in English Language will be required to undertake an IELTS test following the completion of Course three, usually in August. This test will be used by MASP for determining whether the student will depart for placement in an Australian university in January or May and whether the student may need to attend Pre-Course English language training in Australia.

A score of IELTS 6.5 with no band scores less than 6.0 must be achieved at this test as lesser scores will usually not be acceptable for placement in courses at Australian universities. Those candidates that achieve IELTS scores of less than 6.5 at this test may decide whether to undertake self study at their expense to improve their IELTS score and re-apply for ADS in the next year. An IELTS test would be needed at the completion of this self-study the cost of which would be met by the individual.

All applicants must undertake an English language test (IELTS). The result of the IELTS test is forwarded to the university during the Placement process. The universities consider the IELTS results to determine candidate's suitability for the course for which they applied. Your level of English must be equivalent to an average IELTS level of 6.5 or above.
