Application to university

The universities that can accept ADS students for studies commencing in 2009 can be found at the Australian Course and Education Institution Search or Study in Australia [external websites]. Contact MASP for further details.

University preferences
To apply to study in Australia you must submit your first (1) university and course preference to the MASP Placement staff. Your first preference to a University may be an Unconditional Offer, a Conditional Offer or a Rejection. Remember that the response to your choices is final. If the response from the university is a rejection then the MASP Placement staff will inform you and advise that they will submit a request for a placement in your second preference.

University offer made
Following the university assessment of the result of your IELTS test (sent by the MASP office) they will either change your Conditional Offer to a Full Offer or change it to a Rejection.  You will be informed of the progress of your application on the MASP website will link to application page

Placement
Securing a place in a course at a university in Australia is administered by the MASP Office. Contact MASP for further details.

The university assesses the result of your IELTS test and makes or rejects an offer of placement. Requests for placement in a university will be made before 15 September for courses commencing in the first semester of the following year or 15 March for courses commencing in the second semester of the following year. Contact the MASP office for any enquiries related to university selection process or specific dates.

To decide the course most suitable for your needs and available for study at an Australian University <click here>. This will provide a number of Australian education institution and their course offering from their course databases. It is suggested that you start with the Studylink database and consult with the MASP office for further assistance if you have any questions regarding study options.

The MASP office will assist in providing advice on the selection of your university course. Make sure you study the university admission requirements carefully. Some universities may require additional information besides that supplied by the MASP office with your application.
